Activate the yeast – In a small bowl, mix ½ cup warm milk (110°F), 2 tbsp sugar, and 1 packet yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
Mix dry ingredients – In a large bowl, combine 3¼ cups all-purpose flour and 1 tsp salt.
Form the dough – Add the yeast mixture, 1 egg, and ¼ cup (50g) condensed milk to the dry ingredients. Mix until a slightly sticky dough forms.
Knead the dough – On a lightly floured surface or with a stand mixer, knead for 8–10 minutes. Gradually add 50g softened butter and knead until smooth and elastic.
First rise – Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
Shape the bread – Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls, and place it in a greased pan. Let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
Preheat and glaze – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the dough with 3 tbsp condensed milk mixed with melted butter for a shiny crust.
Bake – Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
Cool and serve – Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing for a soft texture.
